Great prayer mat! I ordered the Step-by-step prayer mat to make it easier for my revert friend to learn how to pray, and I think this will really be beneficial for him. Most scholars agree that glancing at written text (a mushaf, a phone, or a transliteration) while praying is a minor action, not something that breaks the salah. A stricter minority view says it can pull focus from khushu over time, so it is best treated as a training tool, not a permanent habit.
