For years I rolled mine up after every salah and tucked it away. That is just what you do. The mat lives in a cupboard. The wall stays empty. Guests never even know you pray here.
Then I saw someone's prayer corner online. Clean walls. A beautiful mat hanging there like a painting. I looked it up. It was Sajada. They make the mats, and they make a magnetic wall mount so you can hang it properly, take it down in seconds to pray, and put it straight back up.
Nobody had told me a prayer mat could be wall art. Once you see it on the wall, you do not want it in a drawer again.
Most of us treat the mat like laundry. Fold it. Hide it. Pull it out again at Maghrib. The room never looks like anyone prays there, and the mat never looks like something you would keep out.

Non-Muslim friends notice it too. They do not always know it is a prayer mat. They just see a textile that looks better than the print you used to hang there.
Muslim guests get it immediately. The wall is a reminder. When it is time, you take it down. Nobody is hunting through a cupboard while the iqamah is running on someone's phone.
That is the whole point of leaving it up. The house already knows where salah happens.
Most art sits there. This one comes down five times a day. You pray on it. You put it back. The wall is never empty for long, and the floor is never a mess of folded mats.
Thick mats do not fold well. Beautiful mats should not live in a drawer collecting dust. Hanging it keeps the pile flat and off the floor, so nobody walks on it between salahs.
You ordered the mat because you wanted to pray on something decent. The mount is how it earns its place on the wall in between.
The wall is the surprise. The reason you stay down in sujood is the foam. 1.5 cm (0.6 in) of high-density padding under a velvet face. It is the most comfortable thing you put your forehead and knees on.
A thin mat teaches you to rush. You count the seconds. You come up early. This one lets the joints quiet down so the prayer can take the time it needs.
If the magnet fell off for someone, they skipped the 1 to 2 minute press, or they stuck it to wood or wallpaper. Smooth wall, firm press, then it holds a padded Sajada mat.
Nobody wants the same pattern. That is fine. Minbar Al Rawda, Floral Kaaba, Al-Aqsa, Barakah, the garden mats. Same foam. Same size. Same magnet.
Hang one in the living room and one in the bedroom. Take each down when it is time. Put them back. The mount is built for Sajada mats, not a random thin rug from a supermarket.
